Opportunities

Use the Opportunities page to track potential Quotes. Opportunities can be linked to Customers and Enquiries/Prospects (potential Customers).

Note:

Only current Opportunities will be displayed in the table view. To view Opportunities that have been lost, use the Advanced Search.

Navigate to Prospects > Opportunities.
Use the Quick and Advanced Search to help you find the Opportunity you’re looking for.
By default, the Opportunities are sorted by Enquiry Date. To sort by something else, click on the column heading. Click again to reverse the sort order.
The Quote Status column helps you to keep track of each Opportunity at a glance.
Click Add New to add a new Opportunity.

The Opportunities page is customisable so you can see the information that is most important to you and your workflow. 

Add a new Opportunity

Note:

To create a new Opportunity, you will need to have appropriate User Access to the Prospects Module.

1.  Go to Prospects > Opportunities.

2.  Click Add New in the top-right corner.

3.  A new Opportunities entry page will be displayed. Start by entering or selecting the details as required in the Opportunities section.

Note:

You will need to complete all of the mandatory fields (marked with a *) before you can save the Opportunity.

4.  Once all of the required details have been entered and selected in the Opportunities section, scroll down and click Save before adding any other information on the right-hand side.

Add other information to an Opportunity

Use the other sections of the Opportunities entry page to do the following:

Add Internal Notes for reference.
Add a date in the Follow Up field. This will be displayed on the Opportunities page table view and the Calendar.

Update the status of an Opportunity

The Quote Status field helps to keep track of the Opportunity and can be viewed from the Opportunities page table view. This field can be updated manually.

Opportunity Default.
Quote Select manually to automatically create a new Quote.
Won Select manually if the Opportunity has been won. A new Customer Order will be created. The Opportunity will no longer appear on the Opportunities page.
Lost Select manually if the Opportunity has been lost. The Opportunity will no longer appear on the Opportunities page but can be found using Advanced Search.
