Product Batches

Use the Product Batches page to monitor stock levels and locations of batch-controlled Products and Assemblies.

Note:

To trace batch-controlled Component Products used on batch-controlled Assemblies, use the Batch Traceability page.

Navigate to Inventory > Product Batches.
Use the Quick and Advanced Search to help you find the batch-controlled items you’re looking for.
By default, batch-controlled items are sorted by Product (numerically, then A-Z). To sort by something else, click on the column heading. Click again to reverse the sort order.
Click on a batch-controlled item to enter or edit the Batch Date. Refer to Product Batches field explanations for more information on each field.

Product Batches field explanations

Field Mandatory? Description
Product Automatic Displays the name of the item as found in the Product Description field on the Product/Assembly record.
Location Automatic Displays the current Stock Location of the item.
Batch Number Automatic Displays the batch number entered when the Product/Assembly was added to stock.
Batch Date N Click to enter or edit a date associated with this batch (.e.g, date of manufacture, sell by date, best before date).
Received Quantity Automatic Displays the total quantity of items originally added to stock at the Stock Location as part of this batch.
Remaining Automatic Auto-fills the quantity of items from this batch remaining in stock (Received Quantity minus all items in this batch despatched, discarded, or transferred from the Stock Location).
